Job growth cooled. Orlando still leads Florida.

The metro added 8,800 jobs in 2025. That is far below the 44,000-a-year clip of the late 2010s, and it still beat Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville.

Healthcare and hospitality created the jobs. Retail lost 3,900, professional services lost 3,500, construction lost 800, and accommodation and food services gave back 700 even as parks hired.

The story locals tell on Instagram is true enough: tech, aerospace, and healthcare are no longer a side plot. NeoCity, Medical City, and the Space Coast are the proof. Tourism is still the largest engine, just not the only one.

For a directory, that mix is the product. Buyers want a park vendor on Monday and a photonics shop on Tuesday. One index should hold both.

The play

Advertise against the corridor pages, not a generic homepage banner. Hospitality money and semiconductor money do not click the same ad.
